Val previously worked in accounts receivable for a major staffing company, offering targeted billing support to some of the world’s largest tech and engineering companies, including Microsoft, Verizon and Boeing. He then moved into a business analyst role with the company, supporting the IT and accounting departments in implementing new processes, systems and procedures. Val took the lead on everything from creating a new expense report to implementing a brand new CRMS. Val combines these experiences in his role supporting accounts receivable as a Finance Manager at vChief. Val has a passion for spreadsheets and a knack for numbers but always keeps the needs of the clients and consultants top of mind. His philosophy is that the accounting team’s role is to keep things frictionless and running smoothly so clients, team members and consultants can focus on what they do best.
Val has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Business Administration from Averett University. He currently resides in Richmond, Virginia, where he enjoys the local outdoor music and festival scenes. He unwinds on the weekend by gardening, reading and playing the piano.
