Rachel is a career talent acquisition expert with over 20 years of experience in full-cycle hiring through the lens of equity. She is skilled in generating keen insight on strategy, branding, candidate cultivation, selection, organized and swift project management, hiring manager coaching, and stakeholder investment. She is currently the Founder and Principal Consultant for LightBee Consulting, a small talent firm that helps national and midsize nonprofits, school districts, and small businesses source and hire quality and diverse talent for open roles ranging from C-level to Director level.
Previously, Rachel spent twelve years at TNTP (formerly The New Teacher Project), a national nonprofit committed to ending educational inequity. She successfully led TNTP’s first certified teacher recruitment contract in Dallas, Texas. She then became the Director of Recruitment for the Los Angeles Teaching Fellows, the National Director of Recruitment for all Teaching Fellows Programs, and then the Director of Talent Acquisition for the organization.
Rachel is a graduate of the University of Texas Senior Fellows Honors Program in Communications and is a former Teach For America corps member. Recently she completed her Certificate in Human Resources Management from Rice University and holds her credential from the Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professionals (SHRM-CP).
When she’s not on Zoom, Rachel spends time (or debates) with a smaller version of herself (her daughter, Felicity) and enjoys living in downtown Grapevine, Texas.
