Chief of Staff

Maya is a talented project manager, researcher and visionary. With more than 15 years of experience in corporate and non-profit industry supporting business leaders understand and support their communities better and equitable. She has an extensive background in operations management, implementation and execution of strategic plans, customer and employee relationship building, training and community engagement.

As the Equity Program Officer at the Rochester Area Community Foundation, Maya works to promote grant making goals for community change with a focus on closing the academic achievement and opportunity gap, fostering racial and ethnic understanding and partnering against poverty. In this role Maya has increased grants to Black and Latinx led and served organizations by 60% as well as the creation of a racial equity fund with a focus on BIPOC leadership.

Maya holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Russell Sage College and a Master’s in Strategic Leadership from Roberts Wesleyan College. She holds several board and community roles including vice chair of Exploration Elementary Charter School and is also a member of Jack and Jill of America Inc., an organization for mothers of African American children Maya currently resides in Rochester, NY with her husband Jeremy and children, James and Reiss.
