
Lauren D.
Chief of Staff
Lauren is an experienced leader with expertise in strategy, communication and organizational excellence. Her passion lies in partnering with individuals and organizations to successfully design and implement their vision.
Most recently, Lauren was the Technology Chief of Staff for Denver Public Schools where she led the district’s COVID-19 remote learning technology strategy. Also while at DPS, she led the district’s Tiered Support model, which provides targeted funding and support for its highest need schools. Prior to DPS, Lauren was at ICF International, working with the U.S. Department of Education on Race to the Top policy implementation. She has also held roles at Teach For America, NYC Department of Education, and AED; and she began her career as a first grade teacher in Houston, Texas.
Lauren has a Masters in Education Leadership from the Broad Center for the Management of School Systems, a MBA in Finance and an MPAff. in Economic and Social Policy from The University of Texas at Austin, and a BA in History and French from the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Virginia Beach, VA with her husband, son and daughter.
