Laura’s expertise areas include strategic planning, project management, organizational design, talent and human capital systems design and development, fundraising and leadership development.
Laura has over 15+ years dedicated to advancing equity and driving positive social impact across the nonprofit, philanthropic, and government sectors. Previously, Laura worked at the National “I Have A Dream” Foundation for almost ten years wearing many hats including overseeing the Human Capital function, Board Development, Affiliate Relations, Fundraising and Special Projects such as the development of a National College Savings Account and a post-secondary success program for students from under-resourced communities. Prior to that, she worked at the New York City Department of Education where she developed a performance management system for an office of 200, trained teachers and superintendents on a new online data and knowledge sharing system, and oversaw the charter school application review process. Her superpowers are being an energizer and systems builder.
She earned a Master’s in Public Administration at the NYU Wagner School of Public Service and a Bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Maryland.
