Jack H.
Chief of Staff
Jack has served in a variety of roles within the education sector for 11 years as a teacher, teacher-leader, consultant, and most recently, as a turnaround high school Principal. As Principal, alongside many hard-working colleagues, Jack led his campus, the largest school within the STRIVE Prep network, to achieve distinguished outputs in the categories of scholar college acceptance, family satisfaction, and year over year retention & differential retention of highest-performing staff.
Jack’s professional experiences span a variety of contexts — rural, urban, district, charter, etc. Prior to his work in the public charter setting in Denver, he started his career as a Teach for America Corps Member in the Mississippi Delta, then transitioned to leading development and training for new teachers with TNTP, before serving as a teacher-leader with Project LIFT/Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (CMS). In each of these roles, Jack refined his vision for what strong leadership looks and sounds like, and now specializes in projects that intersect with leadership development, stakeholder engagement, and change management. He earned his B.S. from Penn State University and Principal’s Certificate from the University of Denver.
When Jack is not working, he is with his wife, Audrey, and two children, Porter and Benjamin, in Denver, CO.
