Connor A.

Chief of Staff

Connor is a senior leader with over 15 years of experience in public education as a teacher, school and system leader, and consultant. As a trusted advisor, he specializes in data-driven continuous improvement, strategic planning and evaluation, program and project management, change management, professional learning, executive coaching, and development of effective systems and structures to drive organizational efficiency and success.

His leadership journey began at DSST Public Schools, where he was a founding teacher, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and network-level leader. At DSST, he led academic initiatives and grew a new performance and evaluation system. As a district leader, Connor managed professional learning and data strategy for Denver Public Schools and served as Director of Instruction and Leadership Development at Aurora Public Schools, where he designed and launched a new strategic planning system and a leadership development program. Most recently, Connor served as the Senior Director of Training and Coaching for Instruction Partners, an organization that works to ensure equitable access to instruction for students in poverty, students of color, students learning English, and students with disabilities. There, he managed a portfolio of school district partners and led internal professional learning strategy for the organization.

Connor received his MS in Education from The City College of New York through New York City Teaching Fellows. He also holds a BA in English and Theater from Princeton University. Early in his career, he spent a year teaching English at Suzhou Experimental Elementary School in Jiangsu, China. He is originally from upstate New York and currently lives in Denver, Colorado with his husband.
