Happy birthday to us! vChief is six months old, and I can’t believe what an incredibly wild and rewarding ride it’s been so far. We are so pleased with the reception and growth we’ve received to date. To those of you who have worked with us or sent a client our way, thank you for your support and for your referrals. It means the world to us.
I wanted to share a little bit about the work we’ve done to date and the clients we’ve worked with, as I think it gives a nice snapshot of what it is we do here at vChief and how we help organizations as virtual chiefs of staff.
Our Clients
To date, we’ve served 11 clients in industries ranging from nonprofit and education to ecommerce and pharmaceuticals.
Eight of these 11 clients come from the nonprofit or education sector, while 3 are from the private sector.
Four are start-ups.
The size of the organizations we’ve worked with range from 1 person to several hundred.
Clients are located across the United States, from New York to California, Chicago to New Orleans. The vast majority work virtually with their vChief team member, though we are providing on-site support for a couple of clients.
Our Services
Services for these clients have fallen primarily into one of two categories:
Interim role replacement, where we fill in for a key team member who is on leave or who has left and a replacement hasn’t yet been hired – sometimes a chief of staff role, other times a COO or another key strategic role. This type of work tends to be short-term and intensive, and is designed to help organizations continue to run smoothly.
Ongoing chief of staff, where we provide ongoing virtual support to executives on any number of tasks, including operations, project management, communications, team management, finance, and human resources. We typically work in this role from 5-20 hours a week, as needed.

vChief has grown to 9 team members, who are located throughout the United States
Our staff comes to us with wide-ranging experience in a variety of industries, from nonprofits and start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.
Areas of expertise include talent acquisition, human resources, operations, strategic planning, leadership, education, sales, and risk management, to name a few.
Between us we hold 5 MBAs, 1 JD, 3 master’s degrees, and 8 bachelor’s degrees. (An impressive group, if I do say so myself.)
