Meet the Panelists

We are excited to welcome three incredible nonprofit leaders who have made a big impact in the sector. These experts will share their experience and wisdom on how to thrive during periods of instability.

Danielle M. Allen

Founder & Managing Director

Serving as a trusted advisor, strategist, and coach, Danielle has supported the distribution of more than $275M and the launch of more than a dozen new organizations and efforts across the country. Danielle has worked with funders, education-focused nonprofits, family foundations, and collectives to set vision and design tailored strategies for rapid progress, recruit inspiring leaders to key roles, and advance national and local advocacy efforts.

Aaron Walker

Founder & CEO

Aaron believes in the audacity of visionaries to help build companies that improve lives and create value. As a 3x founder, he knows the sled and supported world changing companies to flourish in booming economies and global pandemics.

In his most recent company, Camelback Ventures, he ran an accelerator to invest in and support over 110 founders, leading companies to subsequent funding rounds ($160M+). Aaron has 10 years practice as a partner to founders, whether that involves counseling co-founders through disagreements; helping founders close funding gaps in weeks; or advising to resolve strategy and talent needs.

His perspective on investing and partnering with entrepreneurs is also informed by his time as a classroom teacher (believe and support good people) and by being a practicing attorney (great service providers bring expertise and business acumen to their clients). If you’re curious about the names of the places he’s worked and learned, check out LinkedIn.

Barbara O’Reilly

Founder & Principal

Barbara is a seasoned fundraising consultant on a mission to help more nonprofits raise more money by creating strong donor experiences.  She has thirty years of annual fund, major gifts, and campaign fundraising experience at major non-profit organizations including Harvard University, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Oxford University in England, and the American Red Cross. Her firm, Windmill Hill Consulting, works with nonprofits to give them to resources, skills and mindset they need to build more effective donor relationships and catapult their revenue.

She serves as past president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Washington DC Metro Chapter. She sits on the board of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance and the Giving USA Foundation where she chairs the Research Committee.
